Dr. Velma Brown is an accomplished Attorney-at-Law, legal educator, former Resident Magistrate, and Managing Partner of Caribbean Legal Suites. With extensive experience across Jamaica's justice system, private legal practice, and legal education, she is widely respected for her leadership, legal insight, and commitment to professional excellence.

Dr. Brown holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from The University of the West Indies, a Certificate of Legal Education from the Norman Manley Law School, a Master's degree in Government and International Relations, and a PhD in Business Administration. She has also completed postgraduate training in negotiation at the University of Oxford, further strengthening her expertise in dispute resolution, legal strategy, and complex negotiations.

Her distinguished career includes service as a Resident Magistrate in Clarendon and St. Andrew, where she gained significant judicial experience in the administration of justice. She is also the Founder and President of the Law College of the Americas, reflecting her deep commitment to expanding access to legal education, professional training, and development throughout the Caribbean.
